Join us on Thursday 22 October from 13:00 - 15:00 in the Well (Southlands College) for our first Community Forum of the academic year!
The Community Forum is a Roehampton Students’ Union-led space for students to come together, raise concerns, share experiences and discuss the community issues that affect student life at Roehampton.
The forum is chaired by Kshiteej Nimbalkar, RSU President Community. For this month’s Community Forum, we will also be joined by Roehampton Students’ Union’s Chief Executive and Deputy Chief Executive/Head of Commercial Operations.
Each forum will focus on relevant student topics, with the agenda shared in advance. Where appropriate, University staff connected to the topics being discussed will also be invited, giving students the opportunity to have their concerns heard directly by the relevant teams.
First Community Forum – Starting & Settling into Roehampton
With the September intake joining the Roehampton community, our first forum will focus on students’ experience of starting and settling into university life.
Key topics will include:
- Events and Campus Life - experiences of attending events hosted by both the university and students' union.
- Accommodation and residential life – experiences of living on campus, facilities, communication and accommodation concerns.
- Transport and commuting – experiences of travelling to and from campus and getting around Roehampton.
- Cost of living and student support – practical challenges students are experiencing and awareness of available support.
- Campus life and belonging – settling in, meeting people, getting involved and feeling part of the Roehampton community.
The forum is open to students who want to share their experience, raise a concern, or simply listen to what other students are saying about life at Roehampton.
